2026 Virginia State Science and Engineering Fair

At the 2026 Virginia State Science and Engineering Fair (VSSEF), RCHS Junior Chardasia Wyatt earned an Honorable Mention in the Materials Science category for her project about Plastic Bottles and Concrete.

VSSEF is the highest level of science research and engineering competition in Virginia and brings together top student researchers from across the entire state, so Chardasia was competing alongside some of the best young scientists, many from Governor’s Schools and STEM-focused high schools, which makes her recognition even more impressive.
