It Takes a Village Campaign

For the past 10 years, Friends of RCHS, 501c3 has worked diligently to provide:
- Learning tools, equipment, and supplies
- Experience based, hands-on educational programming
- College readiness initiatives
- Upgrades that benefit the entire school, such as the mindfulness center, auditorium lighting and sound, media center, and student labs
- Resources for teachers to avoid teachers spending their own money for work related items
- 4 scholarships for RCHS seniors
- Promoting student engagement in their communities and bringing community members to our students
Having a Big Impact
In 2024/2025 we provided over $140,000 to school initiatives that directly impact the advanced academic education at RCHS and support the culture of learning and legacy that has made the school so successful over the past 49 years.
Excellence * Unity * Legacy
The support and programs we provide would not be possible without the generous support of alumni giving back, family support, and community members giving when they can.
It Takes a Village Campaign
We are launching a give campaign today that will run through December 31st, 2025 with a goal of raising $40,000 during this time.
This is the largest goal we have ever set but it is not done at random.
The high school and the nonprofit have made a joint commitment that every student will have access to programs like mini-mester, fields trips, service learning, and after school academic support programs regardless of their ability to cover associated fees.
Our student body has grown by 26% over the past two years.
From 2023-2025 we have seen a 43% increase in the costs of fieldtrips, mini-mester, technology, and supply costs combined. However, we are holding true to our pledge.
How Can You Help?
Help us start this first week off strong to get the momentum going with a donation.
If a donation is not possible, please follow us on social media to keep up to date on news and re-share our posts to family and friends.
Tell us your story. How has Richmond Community High School empowered you?
We are empowered by the alumni, school staff, parents, and students of RCHS and throughout the campaign we will be sharing stories that will empower you too!
Gratefully,
Alison Owens, Executive Director, Friends of Richmond Community High School, 501c3
